It's 2016. February 7th, 2016 to be exact. And this is a New Years post. Some of you may be wondering, "Isn't it a bit late for a New Years post?"
It's never too late.
2015 was revolutionary for me. I completed my first year in business leaving me both in awe and scarred. My ambition took the driver's sear and would not take its foot off the gas.
I made rash decisions and found myself gasping for air literally and figuratively. The last few months of the year, my health deteriorated and I had to stop working for a full week. When you work for yourself, this feels like eternity.
The end of the year is a wonderful time to sit back and ponder how you choose to move through life. What your desires are. How do you want it to feel. Your intention.
My intention for 2016 is wrapped into two words...
Spaciousness to care for things, people, and myself. Room to create and grow as a designer, writer and overall human being. The capacity to love more, play more and ultimately live more. The chance for my business to grow at a pace it is comfortable with, so that I can continue to thrive for many more years.
Consistency to show up and create more for you. Write for you. Work on something useful and beautiful. For you. Consistency to build my body of work the best I can.
January may be gone , but it's never too late to define your intentions.
Spaciousness and consistency are mine for 2016.
What are yours?
